I get a whole lot of questions regarding what people would eat, wand what they should not eat. Effective weight loss is not about finding the perfect diet, its about striking a balance and living a healthy lifestyle. Once you have committed to a healthy lifestyle, you will find it difficult to go back to your old nutritional habits.
I experienced it again this week. On Tuesday, I joined my wonderful in laws for a meal in the dinning room of their retirement village. IT was a hearty, home cooked meal, but it was much heavier than what I am used to. On our way home, we had a couple of unexpected stops to make, and since I was unprepared, I did not have my Herbalife Meal bars with me. This resulted in us grabbing something small to eat at a restaurant... I took the "healthier option" grilled fish... but still it was much oilier than what I am used to....
Here were the results: I felt heavy, I felt bloated, I battled to sleep, I battled with my energy levels the next day... everything was just upside down!!!
Because I am not o a diet, and because I simply choose a healthy lifestyle, I was not guilt ridden, I could just feel that my body did not get te nutrients it needed.
The result was when we again yesterday had a busy day, and the temptation of fast food was there, I resisted... not because I am on a diet and not because I will feel guilty, BUT because I wanted to feel good today, and because I wanted to have the energy to do everything I need to do today, with a smile!
